One Day

They told me I'd be better soon
Take these... and don't you worry
Time crept on
Now the sound is deafning
The noise engulfs me
And I know they don't know
What's wrong inside my head
But they pretend it and I resent it
I may be mad but they'll regret it
You'll see me standing on top
Of the world
I'll be there as the world falls away
When the dawn does not bring the day
When it all becomes too much
We'll all go mad together but really
It's just a phase... a cry for attention
Just ignore her, she'll go away
Try this new one, take this old one
Draw a picture, write it down
They have nothing I have something
Dark and sinuous inside
When my humanity
Gets the best of me
There is no place for me to hide
And when I stand atop that hill
On that long last day
The emptiness in my eyes
That dark stare into eternity
I'll be better soon...don't you worry
There'll be no place left to hide
Sanity's a cold, cruel illusion
The same joke the same lie
Cause we all know deep inside
That we'll all be mad one day
