Regarding Neverland

In the mind we are whatever we are...
That skin that hair a beast so fair
A fairy princess with eyes so rare
We are sinners we are saints
Lies are true and truth it taints
We are lovers rebels and soldiers
We are younger though we are older
Speak in names though names we're not
Labels and titles hearts cold passions hot
We whisper softly a blatant shout
Invite in demons cast angels out
We prey on weakness we pray to god
We find them curious then deem them odd
We think they're fat, they think we're thin
What do we imagine we are within
What we conceive is what we are
A setting sun or rising star
We don't look back filled with regret
Though I don't gamble I like to bet
The minds' a circus upon a shelf
I keep the best thoughts just for myself
Is it real or fantasy
Suppose that question is up to thee
Nothing and no one are we at all
But what our minds beg to recall
Within our thoughts are our release
Where chains are broken and battles cease
Where love is born and friendship grows
And beyond the thistle a paper rose
Your minds' a vessel conscience the key
Come back to Neverland and you'll be free
