Madame Rose

One of man's most treasured flowers
Is kept in beautiful crystal towers
Bred in colors of many a tone
Endless in story and poetry grown
The treasure of all a romantic be
The perfect picture of lush beauty
But it takes not but a moment
While taking in it's gifted scent
Upon her stems angry and bent
Her thorns erupted to keep and protect
The delicate wonder upon her tip
The ignorant of hand would rip
But to those who approach
With wonder and care
Rewarded are they with treasure so rare
A gentle snip with the sharpened blade
And a wonderful new bloom is made
No greater gift has nature's prose
Than the exotic magic of the Rose
