Quiet Confidant

Quietly she listens
eyes cast down in a frown
Softly her eyes glisten
As she knows what she knows
Will be another
Cross to bare
Though unfair
She can't help but care
They all come running
Into her arms
When the air
Fills with siren alarms
And all those secrets
That she keeps unknown
Emerge as chips into her bones
In everything
She stands alone
Turning her coat up against the rain
Shielding her heart from the pain
Lost in the emptiness
That grew within the world
That she once knew
She''s here for me
She's here for you
The Confidant
listening
speaks not a word
just a mirror of what you thought you heard
no matter how absurd
Again she brings peace
As away she drifts
Into the sands
With a wold within her hands...
